More detail
The film unfurls with Fawad Khagga (Humayun Saeed) getting back to Faisalabad from Lahore after finishing his M.A. degree. Fawad has aspirations of entering into a love marriage with a beautiful girl. However, his cousin Durdana Butt (Urwa Hocane) harbors unrequited feelings for him. In the meantime, Fawad's mom, Firdous Khagga, fosters an affection for Amal Dastoor (Mehwish Hayat), who has as of late returned from London after concentrating on financial matters. Fawad and Amal share a friendship spanning a century.
Desiring Fawad and Amal's union, Firdous implores Fawad's grandfather, Mehtab Khagga, to inquire about Amal's willingness to marry Fawad. However, Amal declines the proposal as she intends to marry her college friend Vasay (Azfar Rehman), whom she had studied with in London. Upon learning of Amal's refusal, Fawad, shattered by the news, travels to Karachi in an attempt to win her heart. He promises Amal his sole possession of buffaloes and dairy as a testament to his devotion. In turn, Amal requests Vasay to offer her his London apartment, but he declines, as it is his only property.
Upon discovering that Amal has agreed to marry Fawad, an inebriated Fawad confesses to his friends that he has not bestowed any property upon Amal but has merely deceived her through emotional manipulation. Heartbroken, Amal overhears his words. After realizing his actions' impact, Fawad assures Amal that his boastful claims were untrue, merely an attempt to impress his friends, and pleads for forgiveness. Amal challenges him to prove his sincerity by diving from the rooftop. Miraculously, Fawad survives the dive.
