 Rangasthalam (meaning 'Theatre' or 'Stage') is a captivating Indian Telugu-language film that was released in 2018. Written and directed by the talented Sukumar, the movie was produced by Y. Naveen, Y. Ravi Shankar, and C. V. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, "Mohan" is a film that boasts an exceptional cast and crew. The leading roles are portrayed by Ram Charan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who deliver stellar performances. Joining them are Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Naresh, and Anasuya Bharadwaj, who contribute significantly in supporting roles.

Rangasthalam is set in a fictional village bearing the same name, and it takes place in the 1980s. The plot centers around two brothers, Chittibabu (played by Charan) and Kumar Babu (played by Pinisetty), who take a stand against the local government and the corrupt cooperative society headed by its president, Phanindra Bhupathi (played by Babu).

The editing was expertly handled by Naveen Nooli. Rangasthalam stands out as one of the early Indian films to be entirely shot using Red Helium 8K cameras. Principal photography commenced in April 2017 with the working title RC11 and concluded in March 2018. While a significant portion of the film was shot on a village set worth ₹5 crores constructed in Hyderabad, about ten percent of the footage was captured in and around Rajahmundry.

With a budget of ₹60 crore, Rangasthalam made its global release on 30th March 2018. The film received rave reviews from critics, who particularly praised Sukumar's exceptional writing and the outstanding performances of the entire ensemble cast, especially Ram Charan and Jagapathi Babu. Not only did Rangasthalam achieve critical acclaim, but it also emerged as a commercial success, grossing a staggering ₹216 crores at the box office. This remarkable feat places it among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time. Additionally, the film was honored with the National Film Award for Best Audiography. Furthermore, a Kannada-dubbed version of Rangasthalam, titled Rangasthala, was released on 12th July 2019.
